Consensys-backed SharpLink stakes $170 million in ETH on Linea

Ethereum treasury firm SharpLink Gaming has deployed and staked $170 million worth of Ether on Linea, Consensys' Layer 2 blockchain, as part of its strategy to maximize yield on its ETH holdings. This deployment utilizes a "first-of-its-kind enhanced yield" structure, combining native Ethereum staking yield with restaking rewards from EigenCloud, plus direct incentives from Linea and Ether.fi, all secured under custody by Anchorage. SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom views this as the most productive way to hold ETH with institutional-grade infrastructure, signaling a move toward Ethereum's "productive era." This action builds upon SharpLink's previously disclosed plan to stake $200 million across Linea and its partners. SharpLink, which holds the second-largest corporate ETH treasury, recently reported generating significant staking rewards, underscoring its focus on staking operations following a leadership transition.
