Anthropic Raising $10B at $350B Valuation in AI Funding Boom

Anthropic, the creator of the Claude AI chatbot, is reportedly securing $10 billion in new financing, which would push its valuation to $350 billion, nearly doubling its September valuation of $183 billion. Singapore’s sovereign-wealth fund GIC and Coatue Management are expected to lead this funding round. This massive investment reflects the intense competition and investor belief that AI leadership will dominate the next technological era, following a record $222 billion raised by AI companies in 2025. The new capital is in addition to prior planned investments from Nvidia and Microsoft. Anthropic projects it will achieve break-even status by 2028 and is expected to go public this year, contrasting with competitor OpenAI's timeline.
