Whales accumulate $280M in Bitcoin in 15 hours

Data tracked by Lookonchain indicates that three Bitcoin wallets, potentially belonging to a single large holder or 'whale,' acquired 3,000 BTC, valued at approximately $280 million, within the last 15 hours. This accumulation occurred as Bitcoin experienced market fluctuations, having briefly surged above $94,000 earlier in the week before settling around $92,000 at the time of reporting. The preceding rally was fueled by strong institutional demand, evidenced by US spot Bitcoin ETFs recording about $1.2 billion in net inflows during the first two trading days of the year, although momentum cooled on Tuesday with significant net outflows observed across the funds.
