Japanese public company Metaplanet, the fourth-largest Bitcoin treasury company, announced it purchased 4,279 BTC in Q4 2025 for approximately $451.1 million, bringing its total holdings to 35,102 BTC, valued at over $3 billion. CEO Simon Gerovich noted the company achieved a BTC Yield of 568% year-to-date in 2025. Additionally, Metaplanet completed a capital raise by issuing 23.6 million Class B preferred shares, netting over 21 billion JPY (more than $136 million). The company intends to use most of these new funds to acquire additional Bitcoin, with the remainder allocated to Bitcoin yield-generating strategies and corporate bond redemption.
