The company acquired an additional 4,279 BTC in Q4 2025 at an average price of $104,642 per coin, bringing its aggregate investment to approximately ¥559.7 billion. This accumulation is part of its Bitcoin Treasury Operations, funded by operating income, capital markets, and Bitcoin-backed credit facilities.
Metaplanet's proprietary BTC Yield metric measures the change in Bitcoin holdings per fully diluted share, intended to show shareholder accretion from accumulation rather than profit. Despite the high yield, the portfolio's market value was down 18.9% due to Bitcoin's volatility. Metaplanet now ranks as the fourth largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally, emphasizing a trend of using crypto as a strategic treasury asset.
