Ethereum treasury firm Bitmine has initiated staking operations by depositing approximately 74,880 ETH, valued at nearly $219 million, into Ethereum's Proof-of-Stake (PoS) contract. This move comes as Bitmine's total Ether holdings surpassed 4.06 million ETH following a recent purchase. An analyst noted that if Bitmine staked its entire holding at the current approximate APY of 3.12%, it could earn about $371 million in interest annually. Previously, Bitmine had announced plans to begin staking in Q1 2026 via its in-house Made-in America Validator Network (MAVAN), after testing with institutional providers.
