Aave token holders voted against a governance proposal that sought to transfer control of the protocol's brand assets—including domains, social handles, and naming rights—to an entity under the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). The snapshot poll closed with 55.29% voting "NAY," while only 3.5% supported the move, which supporters claimed was a step toward decentralization.
