Polymarket Blames Account Breaches on Third-Party Provider

Prediction market platform Polymarket confirmed it resolved a security issue affecting a small number of users, resulting in reported account breaches and drained funds. The company stated on Discord that the vulnerability was introduced by a third-party authentication provider, but assured users the issue was remediated with no ongoing risk. This followed numerous user reports on platforms like Reddit and X, some of whom noted suspicious login attempts before their balances reached zero. Some affected users speculated the security lapse might be linked to Magic Labs, a wallet service integrated with Polymarket. This is not the first security incident for Polymarket users, as some faced drainage issues in late 2024 after logging in via Google accounts.
