Mt. Gox hacker-linked wallet quietly offloads 2,300 Bitcoin

A wallet associated with Aleksey Bilyuchenko, the individual accused by the US Department of Justice of hacking the Mt. Gox crypto exchange, has quietly offloaded approximately 2,300 Bitcoin over the past month, according to analyst Emmett Gallic of Arkham Intelligence. In the last seven days, the entity moved 110 Bitcoin to unidentified exchanges, and over the past week, deposited 1.3K BTC ($114M) to unknown exchanges, having sold a total of 2.3K BTC. The wallet still holds 4,100 BTC, valued at $360 million. The identity of the current controller remains uncertain, as Bilyuchenko was reportedly detained in Russia and some of his assets seized, suggesting another party might be responsible for these recent transactions. The measured pace and use of unidentified exchanges indicate a controlled, ongoing liquidation.
