BTC News: Donald Trump owned media firm moves 2,000 bitcoin, worth $174 million

Trump Media and Technology Group (DJT) transferred about 2,000 bitcoin, worth approximately $174 million, across several wallets shortly after reports indicated an increase in its total holdings to 11,542 BTC. A portion of these funds, around $12 million, was moved to Coinbase Prime Custody, while the remainder stayed in linked wallets. This activity is interpreted as a reshuffle of reserves rather than an immediate sale, as custody transfers often relate to operational treasury management, such as reorganizing cold storage. The timing is significant, occurring one day after the company reportedly purchased 451 BTC, highlighting that Trump Media, the owner of Truth Social, is actively managing its bitcoin position. Bitcoin's price remained stable around $86,000-$87,000 following the movement, even as the company's stock rallied over 30% in the preceding five trading days amid renewed focus on its digital asset strategy.
