Intuit to use Circle’s stablecoin for financial platforms
Summary
Intuit, the company owning TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with stablecoin issuer Circle. This agreement will integrate Circle’s stablecoin infrastructure and USDC into Intuit’s financial platforms, aiming to enable faster and lower-cost payments for business transactions and tax refunds. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated the deal will enhance the speed and efficiency of USDC for daily financial transactions. This development occurs as the US stablecoin market anticipates growth following the passage of the GENIUS Act, and shortly after Circle received conditional approval from the OCC for a national trust bank charter.
