Travel Retail Norway starts accepting Bitcoin at Oslo Airport via Lightning Network

Travel Retail Norway (TRN), which manages duty-free and travel retail outlets in Norwegian airports, has begun accepting Bitcoin payments for its Click & Collect (Klikk & Hent) service at Oslo Airport. This digital pre-order option allows passengers to buy duty-free items online and collect them at the airport. The integration, powered by Satoshi Consult, utilizes the Bitcoin Lightning Network, ensuring transactions are settled instantly in Norwegian kroner with no extra fees from the retailer. TRN Deputy CEO Haakon Dagestad stated that this move caters to digital currency users and aims to position Oslo and Norway as forward-thinking destinations.
