Hut 8 partners with Anthropic and Fluidstack on US AI data center buildout

Hut 8 has formed an AI infrastructure partnership with Anthropic and Fluidstack to develop large-scale AI data centers across the United States. Under the agreement, Hut 8 will supply Anthropic with between 245 MW and 2,295 MW of data center capacity, utilizing high-performance compute clusters managed by Fluidstack. Hut 8 CEO Asher Genoot emphasized that power availability is key to scaling advanced AI infrastructure, positioning their strategy as a differentiator. The collaboration unifies energy, data center design, and compute delivery for hyperscale deployment. The initial phase will launch at Hut 8’s River Bend campus in Louisiana with 245 MW of IT capacity, backed by 330 MW of utility power, with future expansions planned. The companies aim to deliver this new capacity by early 2027.
