Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy (MSTR), remained an influential figure in the bitcoin ecosystem in 2025, despite MSTR's stock underperforming compared to the previous year due to factors like bitcoin volatility compression and new ETF options.

In response to these pressures, Strategy successfully launched four perpetual preferred products (STRK, STRF, STRD, and STRC) in 2025, raising $4.6 billion in gross proceeds from IPOs. Three of these offerings have delivered strong double-digit returns, providing a non-dilutive method for MSTR to increase its substantial bitcoin holdings.

The company also expanded its preferred share program internationally into Europe with a Euro-denominated preferred stock called Stream, demonstrating continued efforts to secure capital for its bitcoin strategy.
