SOL News: Helium Expands to Brazil With Mambo WiFi in DePIN Breakthrough

Helium, a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) built on Solana, is entering the Brazilian market through a joint venture with Mambo WiFi. This expansion is one of Helium's most significant international moves, aiming to leverage Mambo's existing network of roughly 40,000 WiFi hotspots, which are already used by major Brazilian telecom providers. The goal is to use this infrastructure to offload mobile data traffic onto Helium-connected hotspots, reducing congestion and operating costs for carriers. This move targets a large market, as over 100 million people in Brazil rely primarily on shared or public WiFi. Helium currently operates over 120,000 hotspots in the U.S. and Mexico and views Brazil as its next major market.
