Tokenization News: Plume Secures ADGM Commercial License, Eyes Middle East RWA Expansion

Plume Network, a Layer 2 blockchain focused on real-world assets (RWAs), has obtained a commercial license from the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Registration Authority. This license is crucial for scaling RWA origination and distribution across the Middle East and Africa, leveraging ADGM's progressive regulatory environment for digital assets. Plume's CEO, Chris Yin, stated that the Middle East is becoming a global leader in RWA tokenization, making it a strategic partner for the firm. While the current license is general and does not permit regulated activities like token issuance, Plume plans to seek further authorization, establish a permanent Abu Dhabi office by year-end, and explore local partnerships, building upon its existing momentum in the U.S. market.
