Ripple’s big Singapore win: What the expanded license allows now

Ripple has achieved a significant regulatory milestone in Singapore as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) expanded the scope of its Major Payment Institution (MPI) license. Initially secured in 2023 for digital payment token services, the previous license had limitations on comprehensive end-to-end payment capabilities. The upgraded license now permits Ripple to offer a much wider range of regulated services, including full end-to-end cross-border payment processing, regulated services involving XRP and its stablecoin RLUSD, liquidity provision, on/off-ramps, and enterprise settlement tools, all under strict MAS oversight.
