Users can now buy and store 11 crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana, directly within the GoTyme banking app. The process involves an automatic conversion from Philippine peso to USD. GoTyme CEO Nate Clarke emphasized that the service prioritizes simplicity and reliability for users who want to purchase crypto confidently without complex technical analysis. Launched in October 2022 as a joint venture between Tyme Group and Gokongwei Group, GoTyme is currently focused on rapid scaling across Southeast Asia, including plans for Vietnam and Indonesia, and is not prioritizing profitability until 2027. This move aligns with the Philippines' strong crypto adoption, ranking ninth globally on Chainalysis’ 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index.
