Thailand-based entrepreneur and crypto investor Christopher Harborne, who has holdings in Tether and Bitfinex, donated £9 million (equivalent to $12 million) to the UK political party Reform, led by Nigel Farage. This donation was reportedly the largest ever made to a UK political party by a living person, surpassing the previous record set by Lord John Sainsbury's £10 million bequest to the Conservative party in 2022.
