CZ Teases New BNB Chain Native Prediction Market Predict.Fun

Binance founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao announced Predict.fun, a new native prediction market for the BNB Chain, built by a former Binance employee. The platform's key innovation is addressing the inefficiency of idle user capital by allowing funds to earn passive yield while positions remain open. This feature aligns with industry trends where competitors like Polymarket and Kalshi layer staking or points systems to offset opportunity costs. Predict.fun currently has modest volume compared to giants like Polymarket, but it leverages the large and growing user base of the BNB Chain, which leads in active wallets. However, the platform faces a liquidity challenge due to the BNB Chain's significant gap in stablecoin issuance, meaning its immediate test will be building steady volume against smaller rivals.
