Solana Mobile to roll out native taken in January

Solana Mobile announced that the native token for its Seeker smartphone, named "SKR," will roll out at the start of 2026, serving as the governance token for its mobile ecosystem. The token has a total supply of 10 billion, with allocations including 30% for airdrops, 25% for growth and partnerships, and smaller portions for liquidity, community treasury, Solana Mobile, and Solana Labs. The SKR token is intended to bolster the phone's decentralized application (DApp) store and ecosystem, incentivizing early participants through staking rewards. Solana Mobile also introduced "guardians" who will validate trust, verify device authenticity, review DApp submissions, and enforce community standards, with Solana Mobile acting as the first guardian. This news coincided with a slight increase in the price of Solana (SOL).
