Fusaka goes live as Ethereum edges closer to ‘instant feel’ UX

Ethereum's second major upgrade of the year, Fusaka, has officially gone live, bringing significant improvements like increased data capacity and reduced transaction costs. The headline feature is Peer Data Availability Sampling (PeerDAS), which offers substantial scaling for Ethereum and Layer 2 solutions by fragmenting rollup data, allowing nodes to process information faster and more efficiently. The Ethereum Foundation stated that Fusaka moves the network closer to "near-instant transactions," reducing latency from minutes to milliseconds, which, combined with lower fees, promises a new tier of usability for users and rollups.
