Solana Mobile announced that the native token for its Seeker smartphone ecosystem, SKR, will launch in January 2026. The token will serve as the economic and governance backbone for the decentralized mobile platform and will have a fixed total supply of 10 billion tokens. Distribution heavily favors the ecosystem, allocating 30% to airdrops, 25% to growth initiatives, 10% to liquidity/launch support, 10% to a community treasury, 15% to Solana Mobile, and 10% to Solana Labs. SKR will also feature a linear inflation model, starting at 10% in Year 1 and decaying annually to a 2% terminal rate, designed to reward early stakers and bootstrap platform activity sustainably. This follows the August launch of the Seeker phone, the successor to the Saga device.
