Bitget Announces Over $1.5M USD Relief Fund for Families Affected by Hong Kong’s Wang Fuk Court Tower Fire

Bitget, the world's largest Universal Exchange, announced a donation of approximately $1.54 million USD ($12,000,000 HKD) to aid families affected by the recent five-alarm fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong, which resulted in at least 128 fatalities.

To ensure transparent and accountable distribution, Bitget mandated three trusted Hong Kong charities to manage the funds. Yan Chai Hospital will receive $5,000,000 HKD for emergency medical services and rehabilitation. The Salvation Army Hong Kong will receive $3,500,000 HKD for financial aid and temporary accommodation, while Po Leung Kuk will receive $3,500,000 HKD for psychological counselling and long-term support.

This relief effort aims to complement government measures by providing medical assistance, financial support, and mental health services to help survivors navigate the aftermath and begin rebuilding their communities.
