Layer 1 blockchain SKALE taps Layer 2 Base for AI-focused Layer 3

Layer 1 blockchain SKALE has launched SKALE on Base, an Ethereum Layer 3 specifically designed for agent workloads, including the x402 payments protocol for AIs. This deployment utilizes the SKALE Expand initiative, allowing SKALE's core contracts to deploy on any EVM blockchain, bringing features like gasless transactions and instant finality to other ecosystems. SKALE on Base combines SKALE's scalable infrastructure with Base's liquidity and user base. The network will also feature a credit system for compute resources, allowing agents and users to pre-pay with USDC or SKL, eliminating the need to manage gas fees. This launch marks the first deployment of SKALE Expand, aiming to provide a consistent execution environment for agents across multiple L1s and L2s.
