Ethereum Foundation Announces Devcon 8 in Mumbai, India

The Ethereum Foundation has selected Mumbai, India, to host Devcon 8, Ethereum's annual global community and developer conference, scheduled for Q4 2026. This decision was based on the significant scale and rapid growth of India's developer ecosystem, its leading position in global crypto adoption for two consecutive years, and strong local Ethereum communities. India is the largest source of new crypto developers since 2023. Nathan Sexer, Devcon Team Lead, stated that hosting the event in Mumbai will strengthen momentum and lower barriers for new regional builders to connect globally.
