RWA News: Centrifuge Debuts Asset Tokenization Service, Starting with Daylight

Centrifuge, a real-world asset (RWA) protocol, has unveiled Centrifuge Whitelabel, a new tokenization platform offering modular infrastructure for creating tokenized financial products across various asset classes like private credit, insurance, and energy infrastructure.

Daylight, a decentralized energy infrastructure startup, is the inaugural user, employing the platform to create tokenized vaults for energy assets, thereby bypassing complex backend development for issuance and onboarding. Daylight's co-founder noted the platform offers expressivity and extensibility for tailored security and DeFi integration.

The launch aligns with the growing trend of bringing tokenization to traditional finance, a sector projected to reach nearly $19 trillion by 2033. Centrifuge aims to democratize this infrastructure, which has already facilitated over $1.3 billion in tokenized assets, by offering self-service, collaborative, and fully managed service tiers.
