Bitcoin rewards company Fold Holdings is collaborating with Steak 'n Shake on a limited-time promotion where customers buying a Bitcoin Burger or Bitcoin Meal can receive $5 in Bitcoin via the Fold app after uploading their receipt.
Steak 'n Shake recently introduced the Bitcoin Burger, which features a Bitcoin logo stamped on the bun. Fold's CEO, Will Reeves, stated that this partnership is a step toward mainstreaming Bitcoin by integrating it into everyday life, potentially giving many people their first exposure to owning BTC through a simple purchase.
Fold, which went public earlier this year via a merger, already offers users Bitcoin cashback on purchases through its app and debit card, and recently unveiled a Visa credit card offering similar rewards. The company holds approximately 1,500 BTC in its treasury.
