Bitcoin rewards platform Lolli, which is now part of the venture studio Thesis*, has acquired Slice, a browser extension that rewards users for passive browsing. This acquisition merges Lolli's existing shopping rewards platform with Slice's passive activity rewards, aiming to create a unified ecosystem for users to earn Bitcoin across all online activities.
Slice brings Lightning Network support for withdrawals, which accelerates Lolli's adoption of Layer 2 solutions, making small Bitcoin withdrawals more economically viable. Thesis* views this as a strategic move to consolidate the fragmented Bitcoin rewards space. Founder and CEO Matt Luongo stated that the combination will make it easier for new Bitcoiners to accumulate satoshis.
The integration ensures continuity for current users of both platforms. Future plans include integrating withdrawals through Thesis*'s Bitcoin sidechain, Mezo, and expanding merchant partnerships to build a global Bitcoin rewards ecosystem.
