Data indicates that long-term Ethereum holders, particularly those who acquired ETH during the Initial Coin Offering (ICO), have significantly increased their activity in the latter half of the year, coinciding with Ether's price movements near all-time highs. Analytics from Santiment's Sanbase platform, using the age consumed metric, showed major spikes in old Ether moving on September 6th and at the end of September. Specifically, one whale that received 20,000 ETH during the ICO moved 1,500 tokens to Kraken after eight years of inactivity, with the initial $6,000 investment now valued over $78 million. Another major ICO participant moved 150,000 ETH for staking, whose initial $310,000 investment is now worth over $3.9 billion. A third, smaller holder also made a test transaction in August after a decade.
