ClearBank to become one of first EU banks to join Circle Payments Network

ClearBank, a UK-based cloud-clearing bank, has entered a strategic partnership with Circle, the issuer of USDC, to expand stablecoin initiatives in the European market. This collaboration will enable ClearBank to scale access to Circle's USDC and EURC stablecoins through Circle Mint, which allows authorized partners to mint and redeem the tokens directly on the blockchain. Furthermore, ClearBank intends to become one of the first European banks to join the Circle Payments Network (CPN), which uses stablecoins for rapid and secure cross-border transactions. This integration connects ClearBank's platform to Circle’s stablecoin settlement network, aiming to facilitate faster and cheaper cross-border payments while ensuring compliance with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). The partnership also sets the stage for future initiatives like stablecoin-based treasury solutions.
