CZ Is Free—But at What Cost? Ray Youssef Claims a Bigger Power Is in Charge

Following President Trump's pardon of Changpeng "CZ" Zhao, the former Binance CEO, NoOne CEO Ray Youssef alleged that Binance is now controlled by the US establishment, rather than the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Youssef argued that CZ's guilty plea and Binance's $4 billion settlement with the DOJ effectively placed the exchange under Washington's control, evidenced by strict KYC requirements. He further suggested that figures close to the Trump family are involved in this network.

Youssef compared Binance to the failed FTX, calling it a "controlled demolition" of the crypto industry orchestrated by the state, predicting a Binance collapse would be far more damaging than FTX's implosion. Conversely, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the Biden administration's pursuit of Zhao, despite no identifiable victims, marked the end of their "war on crypto."
