Largest crypto lending protocol Aave to integrate Maple’s yield-bearing assets

The largest decentralized lending protocol, Aave, is partnering with onchain asset manager Maple to integrate Maple's yield-bearing, institutional-grade assets as a new collateral class. These assets are intended to stabilize borrow demand, improve capital efficiency, and strengthen liquidity within Aave's variable lending model. Initially, Aave will deploy Maple's syrupUSDT token on its Plasma instance, with plans to add more assets to the core Aave market later. This collaboration grants Aave access to Maple's network of allocators and borrowers, representing billions in deployable capital seeking stable returns. Aave founder Stani Kulechov noted that the partnership combines Maple's high-quality assets with Aave's deep liquidity, offering institutions greater utility and better capital management.
